Interactive meter + color-coded classification | Instant health insights

BMI is calculated by dividing body weight in kilograms by height in meters squared. The same result can be calculated with pounds and inches using a conversion factor.
Where:
β’ Weight = Your body weight in kilograms.
β’ Height = Your height in meters.
β’ BMI = Body Mass Index, a screening value used to classify weight ranges.
Imperial Formula:
When using pounds and inches, multiply by 703 to get the standard BMI result.
BMI = kg / mΒ²
BMI = 703 Γ lb / inΒ²
Example: A person weighs 72.6 kg and is 1.70 m tall.
A BMI of 25.1 is usually classified as Overweight. BMI is a screening tool, so it should be interpreted with other health factors.
Use this table as a quick reference for standard adult BMI categories.
